Schools Closed December 30, 2025: Almost all states are experiencing severe cold weather. The cold and dense fog has made conditions very difficult for people. The entire North India is reeling under the cold wave. In light of this, several state governments have declared school holidays to ensure student safety and prevent adverse health effects. Schools in South India are generally operating normally, except in areas where local festivals and district-level holidays have been declared. Let’s identify which states have declared a holiday on December 30th. No holidays have been declared in the southern states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka on December 30th.
Jharkhand School Closed:

The Jharkhand government has extended school holidays due to the severe cold. Schools from KG to Class 12 in Ranchi will remain closed until December 31, 2025. This order applies to all government and private schools.
Bihar School Closed:
Schools from pre-school to Class 8 in Patna will remain closed. This includes government and private schools, and Anganwadi centres. Schools for Classes 9 to 12 will remain open. School timings have also been changed. According to the new timings, schools will be open from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. However, pre-board and board examinations will be held according to the scheduled timetable.

UP School Closed Today:
Due to the increasing cold in Uttar Pradesh, schools will remain closed until January 1, 2026. This applies to classes up to Class 12. This order has been issued on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Many schools that had scheduled winter vacations from January 1st are currently conducting online classes to complete academic work before the holidays.

Kerala School Closed:
A local holiday has been declared in Kerala on December 31st for the Sivagiri pilgrimage. Although there is no statewide holiday on December 30th, a regional holiday has been declared in the Thiruvananthapuram district in connection with a significant religious event.
