Sainik School Admission 2026. If you’ve been dreaming of getting your child into a Sainik School, you have just one day left. The last date to apply online for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE 2026) is tomorrow, October 30, 2025. After this, the application window will close. This entrance exam will provide admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools across the country.
AISSEE Exam to be held in January 2026
The AISSEE 2026 exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), will be held in January 2026. The exam aims to provide admission to eligible students in various Sainik Schools across the country, providing them with a strong foundation for later admission to institutions like the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Naval Academy (INA).

Eligibility and Age Limit for Class 6 and 9
Students must meet the age and class eligibility criteria for admission to Sainik Schools.
- Class Age Limit (as of March 31, 2026) Educational Qualification
- Class 6: 10 to 12 years old, passed or studying Class 5 from recognised school
- Class 9: 13 to 15 years old, passed or studying Class 8 from a recognised school
Application Fee
The application fee for AISSEE 2026 is determined by category.
- General/OBC (NCDefence/Ex-Servicemen: ₹850
- SC/ST candidates: ₹700
