Sainik School Admission 2026: If you’re dreaming of getting your child admitted to a Sainik School, don’t delay any further. The last date to apply for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE 2026) is today, October 30, 2025. The last date for submitting the application fee is October 31, 2025. Parents who haven’t yet filled out the form can immediately apply by visiting the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) official website, exams.nta.nic.in.

The Sainik School Admission 2026 exam is conducted for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools across the country. You can also apply for your child’s admission.

Learn about the eligibility and age limit
For admission to Class 6, students must be between 10 and 12 years old. That is, the student must have been born between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2016.
Students applying for Class 9 must be between 13 and 15 years of age, meaning they must have been born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012.
Age calculations for both categories will be based on March 31, 2026.

Application fees are determined by category.
- General, OBC (non-creamy layer), and Defence/Ex-Servicemen candidates will have to pay ₹850.
- The application fee for SC/ST candidates is ₹700.
Fee payments can only be made online, such as through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking.
How to Apply Online (Step-by-Step Process)
Candidates who wish to apply should follow the simple steps below.
- First, visit the NTA’s official website, exams.nta.nic.in.
- Go to the “Sainik School Society” section and click on the “Registration for AISSEE-2026 Examination is LIVE!” link.
- Now, complete the required registration by filling in the required information.
- After logging in, fill in the required details in the application form and upload the documents.
- Next, pay the prescribed application fee online.
- After submitting the form, take a printout and keep it safe.
- Made a mistake in the form? You will be given a chance to correct it.

If a candidate makes a mistake while filling out the application form, there is no need to worry. The NTA will open a correction window for this. Candidates will be able to make amendments to their application form between November 2 and November 4, 2025.
