According to the official notification, the UGC NET 2025 examination will be conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts each day. The morning shift will be from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the afternoon shift will be from 3 PM to 6 PM. Candidates are not permitted to sit for the exam without their admit card.

Take a printout to carry to the exam center.

Exam Date and Time
The UGC NET written examination will be conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026.

The exam will be conducted in two shifts:

Exam Pattern
This will be a computer-based test. Candidates will be asked 150 multiple-choice questions, for which 300 marks are allotted. There will be two papers, with no break between them.
