Overall, University, College, Research Institution, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Law, Architecture and Planning, Agriculture and Allied Sectors, Innovation, Open University, Skill University, State Open University
IIT Madras has dominated for the last 6 years
In the NIRF ranking, IIT Madras has been ranked first in the overall category for the last six consecutive years. After this, IISc Bangalore got second place, and IIT Mumbai got third place.
Overall top 10 institutes last time
In the NIRF ranking announced in 2024, 7 out of the top 10 positions were secured by IIT institutes. The list was as follows:
