It is the admit card for admission to its popular courses, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, B.Des and M.Des programs for 2026-27. NID Entrance Exam Eligibility

The age for M.Des. and B.Des. from the National Institute of Design will be determined as of July 1, 2026. Candidates should carefully review the age and educational qualifications before applying for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

  • Passed or appearing 10+2 in any discipline in the session 2024-25 from a recognised board.
  • Passed equivalent from a recognised board/CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board

    Recognised Foreign or Indian Board

How to Apply for BDES and MDES?

Once the NID BDES and MDES registration portal opens, candidates can complete the application by following the steps mentioned here.

  • First of all, you visit the official website https://admissions.nid.edu.
  • After this, click on the DAT 2026 registration link.
  • Create a new account on the portal using your mobile number, email address and OTP verification.
  • Log in again and enter all the personal and academic details.
  • Select your preferred city for the entrance exam from the available options of exam cities.
  • Upload scanned photograph and signature, and other documents.
  • Finally, pay the registration fee as per the category.
  • Now submit your form and print it.
