IISER IAT 2025 Result Out : The wait of thousands of students who took the IISER IAT 2025 exam is finally over. The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) has declared the result of this year’s entrance exam. The facility to view the result and download the rank card is now available on the official website iiseradmission.in. How to check IISER IAT 2025 result?
To check the result, candidates have to login to the official website. From the link available on the website, they can view their score and rank card by entering their user ID and password. This rank card will be very important in the future counseling process, so it is important to download and keep it safe.
Exam format and pattern
IISER Aptitude Test 2025 was conducted in online mode (CBT) in the month of May this year. This exam was for those students who want to take admission in 5-year BS-MS dual degree, 4-year BS or 4-year BTech program in IISER institutes. A total of 60 multiple choice questions were asked in the exam, which were equally divided into four sections of Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology. Four marks were given for every correct answer while one mark was deducted for the wrong answer. The total duration of the exam was three hours.
All candidates got rank, but seat is not guaranteed
IISER has clarified that students who have scored at least one mark have been given rank. But it is important to understand that just getting a rank does not guarantee admission. The final admission will be decided on the basis of availability of seats, rank of the candidate, preference of his/her preferred institute and category.
Counselling process starts from June 26
Now that the result is out, the next big step is the counselling process. This process will start from 5 pm on 26 June. Candidates will have to fill their preferences (preference form), in which they will tell which IISER institute they want to choose first. The last date to fill this form is 3 July 5 pm. Once the candidate submits this information, the seat allotment process will start.
What to do after getting admission offer?
Candidates who are found eligible for the seat will be sent an offer. The option to accept or refuse this offer will be given. If a candidate does not respond on time or refuses the offer, he will be excluded from all further rounds. Therefore, it is advised that as soon as the offer is received, take a decision immediately and update it on the portal.
