There’s good news for students preparing to become CAs. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened the online registration process for the CA January 2026 exam. Candidates can apply for the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses by visiting the ICAI’s official website, icai.org. ICAI released the results for the CA September 2025 session on Monday (November 3, 2025). The results for all three courses—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final—were released simultaneously.

Registration Deadline and Correction Window

According to the ICAI, students who are unable to apply within the stipulated deadline can apply with a late fee until November 19, 2025. After submitting the exam form, the correction window will be open from November 20 to November 22, 2025. During this period, candidates will be able to change the exam city or medium of examination.

ICAI CA January 2026 Exam Dates

ICAI has also released the exam schedule for the January 2026 session.

  • CA Final Exam (Group I): January 5, 7, and 9, 2026
  • CA Final Exam (Group II): January 11, 13, and 16, 2026
  • CA Intermediate (Group I): January 6, 8, and 10, 2026
  • CA Intermediate (Group II): January 12, 15, and 17, 2026
  • CA Foundation Exam: January 18, 20, 22, and 24, 2026

It is worth noting that ICAI released the CA September session results on November 3, 2025, with results for all three courses—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final—declared simultaneously. As soon as the results were released, ICAI also opened the registration window for the January 2026 session, so that students can immediately begin preparing for the next stage.

  • First, candidates should visit icai.org.
  • Scroll down on the homepage and click on the ‘Examinations’ section.
  • Go to the “Examinations – January 2026” link.
  • Now, click on the application link and select the relevant course (Foundation/Intermediate/Final).
  • Fill in your personal, educational, and registration details.
  • Select the exam city and exam medium (Hindi/English).
  • Upload a passport-size photo, signature, and required documents.
  • Pay the application fee (including late fees, if applicable) online.
  • Submit the form after verifying all the details.
  • Download and preserve the confirmation page and payment receipt.

Important Advice for Candidates

Before applying, candidates should ensure they have a valid ICAI registration number. Choose your exacentreer preference carefully, as changes will not be permitted after the correction window. Foundation level students are only eligible if they have passed or already appeared for the 12th grade exam.
