CBSE 10th Result 2026 – Special Assessment Scheme for Middle East Students Announced, Check Average Marks Formula

CBSE 10th Result 2026: CBSE Board students are eagerly awaiting their results. Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examinations are currently awaiting their results. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 10 results shortly. Once the results are declared, students will be able to check their scores via the official websites—cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in

Meanwhile, a special assessment scheme has been implemented for Class 10 students in certain countries across the Middle East. Due to heightened security tensions and unstable conditions in the region—stemming from the conflict involving Iran, the US, and Israel—it was not feasible to conduct board examinations on schedule in several locations.

It is worth recalling that the CBSE, taking a major decision, had cancelled the Class 10 board examinations. This decision has impacted students studying in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Consequently, anxiety regarding the results had increased among both students and parents.
The Board has now released a special assessment scheme, based on which the students’ results will be compiled. Marks for the remaining subjects will be awarded based on scores from examinations already conducted, in accordance with a prescribed formula.

Which examinations had already been conducted?
The Class 10 board examinations were held between February 17 and February 28, 2026. During this period, several examinations—including those for core subjects such as Mathematics, English, and Science—had already taken place. However, not all students had appeared for every examination, creating uncertainty about the results.

What formula will be used to compile the results?

For students who appeared for all the examinations, their results will be determined based on their actual performance.

For students who appeared for four examinations, the marks for the remaining subjects will be determined based on the average of their scores in their three best-performing subjects. For students who appeared for three examinations, the average of their scores in their two best-performing subjects will be applied. Separate Arrangements for Private Students.

Special provisions have also been made for students in the private and compartment categories. If a student has appeared for one or two examinations, their result will be determined based on those exams. Conversely, those with pending paperwork will be given the opportunity to retake the examination.
