Ajay Devgan’s ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion ‘, i.e. ‘Drishyam 3’ has made a grand entry in theatres today, i.e. 2nd October. This is the last chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story, so the excitement of the fans is obviously sky-high.

Created a stir in advance booking itself

The craze that was visible about the film was clearly visible in the advance booking figures. Even before its release, ‘Drishyam 3’ had crossed the Rs 50 crore mark through advance booking at the domestic box office. It had made pre-sales worth around Rs 25 to 28 crores just for the opening day. These figures show how much the audience was waiting for the return of Vijay Salgaonkar.

The biggest opening of Ajay Devgan’s career?

Trade experts believe that ‘Drishyam 3’ can prove to be the biggest opening of Ajay Devgan’s career. Till now, this record is in the name of ‘Singham Again’, which earned Rs 43.50 crore (net) on the first day in 2024. According to trade estimates, ‘Drishyam 3’ can earn more than Rs 50 crore net on the first day. If this happens, then it will become the first Rs 50 crore opening of Ajay’s career.

Take a look at these figures:

Opening Day Pre-Sales (with Block Seats): Rs 31.65 crore gross

Tickets sold for the first day: More than 8.82 lakh

Opening weekend estimate: Rs 100 to 120 crores

Sounded in foreign countries too

‘Drishyam 3’ is not limited to India only. It has earned a good amount in advance booking in foreign countries also. Overseas pre-sales for the opening day had crossed Rs 3 crore, while for the entire weekend this figure had crossed Rs 5 crore. The film is releasing on more than 1300 screens in 60 countries, which is Ajay Devgan’s biggest overseas release till date.

Why is the story named ‘Conclusion’?

Director Abhishek Pathak had earlier told that initially the film was going to be named ‘Drishyam 3’, but then it felt that after saying Part 3, people would expect that Part 4 would also come. Since now this story has to end, hence the name was kept as ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’. But fans are still lovingly calling it ‘Drishyam 3’.

Cast and Crew

Apart from Ajay Devgan, actors like Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutt and Rajat Kapoor are seen in important roles in the film.
