The public is informed that traffic will be affected in areas surrounding Connaught Place, Mandi House, Jantar Mantar, Patel Chowk, and Central Delhi. Protests Continue in Delhi Today
The Delhi Police took this decision after organisations like the CJP and the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) announced plans to continue their protests for a second day. They have stated that the demonstrations will continue until they meet their demands. On Saturday, CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde declared that they would march to Jantar Mantar until they removed CEC Gyanesh Kumar from his post. SFI General Secretary Srijan Bhattacharya stated that the students would stage peaceful protests.

Meanwhile, Abhijit Dipke’s mother, Anita Dipke, has accused the police of lying, stating that Abhijit was not informed about his grandmother’s passing. Abhijit’s father also claimed that he had been shifted out of Delhi. The family maintains that had Abhijit received the information in time, he would have returned immediately.

Tight security arrangements are visible in Delhi today. More than 30,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed. The Delhi Police have stepped up security across the capital, significantly intensifying surveillance at railway stations, bus terminals, and other sensitive locations.
