SC/ST/OBC Students Scholarship 2024: Various types of scholarship schemes are started by the Government of India to encourage students in education in the country, through these schemes to enable the students to complete their education. Financial support is provided. Through one such scheme, 10th and 12th passed students of economically weaker SC/ST and OBC category of the country are being given the benefit of scholarship by the government for their further education. With this, students will be able to become financially empowered to complete their education without any financial problem and they will not have to leave their education incomplete.
SC/ST/OBC Students Scholarship 2024
SC/ST/OBC Students Scholarship also known as ONGC Scholarship is a scheme launched by the Government of India to provide the benefit of scholarship for education to the students from lower income group and poor families of the state. It is operated by Oil and Natural Gas Company (ONGC). Through this scholarship, the government provides the benefit of a scholarship of Rs 48,000 to the needy students from poor families to help them complete their further education, this benefit is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary.
Every year, under ONGC Scholarship Scheme, scholarship is provided to 2000 students, out of which 500 OBC category students, 500 EWS category and 1000 SC/ST category students are selected for scholarship. 50% of the scholarships under the scheme are reserved for girls.
Eligibility for SC/ST/OBC Student Scholarship
For SC/ST/OBC student scholarship, the applicant will have to complete the prescribed eligibility criteria, only after completing which he/she will be able to apply for the scholarship, the information about all such eligibility criteria is as follows.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, applicant students must be Indian citizens.
Applicant SC/ST and OBC category students will be eligible to apply.
Under this scheme, students who have passed class 10th and 12th will be eligible to apply.
For SC/ST/OBC student scholarship, the annual income of the student’s family should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
The applicant student must have passed class 10th and 12th with 60% or more marks.

For this, first of all you visit the official website of ONGC portal.
Now click on the option of Apply for Scholarship 2024 on the home page of the website.
After this, the option to select category will appear on your screen, here you have to select whatever category you belong to.
Now you have to read the guidelines for application and click on the apply option.
After which the ONGC Scholarship application form will open in front of you.
Here you fill all the information asked in the form carefully and upload the scanned copy of all the documents asked in the form.
Now finally after re-checking all the information, click on the submit option.
