EPFO BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Big news is coming out from EPFO that soon the interest money will be deposited in the PF account. There is a possibility that interest can be credited to all provident fund accounts by July-August.
The special thing is that this time the Central Government has fixed 8.25 percent interest on the amount deposited in Provident Fund (PF) for the financial year 2023-24, so now more than 6 crore PF account holders will get more interest.
Check the balance in these 3 ways
Umang APP: Install the UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) app on your phone. Now open the app and log in. After this click on ‘EPFO Option’ and go to ‘Employee Centric Services’.
Now click on ‘view passbook’. After this, you have to enter the UAN number, after which OTP will come on your mobile number. After entering the OTP, the PF account will be logged in. Now you will see the PF passbook.
SMS: To know the PF balance through SMS, send an SMS to 7738299899 from the mobile number registered with EPFO. For this, you have to type EPFO UAN LAN.
For information in Hindi, write HIN instead of LAN. To get account information in Hindi, write EPFOHO UAN HIN and send it to number 7738299899 and the message will come on your mobile.
EPFO: Login to the website, On clicking on e-passbook, you will come to a new page. Where you have to fill in your username (UAN number), password, and captcha, and then a new page will open. Here you will see the member ID. Here you will get your EPF balance on the e-passbook.
How to check PF balance without UAN
First of all, go to epfindia.gov.in and log in.
Click on the ‘Know Your EPF Balance’ option on the homepage.
After this go to ‘Member Balance Information’.
Now select your state. Then click on the EPFO Office link.
Now submit your PF account number, name, and registered mobile number.
After this, your PF balance will be displayed.
Apart from this, you can check your EPF balance even without a Universal Account Number by
giving a missed call on 011-229014016.
For this service, your mobile number should be registered on the UAN portal and KYC details should be there in the account.
