The 500cc to 800cc segment is perfect for those who want a powerful sports bike at an affordable price.
Bikes of companies like Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, Suzuki and Termas are quite popular in this segment.
In April 2024, 3278 units of bikes were sold in this segment, which is slightly more than 3068 units last year.
This segment includes bikes like Honda CBR 650F, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Triumph Street Triple.
800cc to 1000cc: Strong performance
A huge increase in the sales of bikes has also been seen in the 800cc to 1000cc segment.
In April 2024, 153 units of bikes were sold in this segment, which is much more than 99 units last year.
This shows that people are more interested in fast and powerful bikes.
This segment includes bikes like Kawasaki Ninja H2, Triumph Speed Triple 1050 RS, Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
Above 1000cc: Declining sales
Sales of bikes with engine capacity above 1000cc have seen a decline in April 2024.
A total of 73 units of bikes were sold in this segment, whereas last year this number was 111 units.
However, this is still a small segment and the prices of the bikes in it are also quite high.
Bikes like Harley Davidson Iron 83, Ducati Panigale V4, Kawasaki ZX-10R are included in this segment.
It is clear that Indians are liking sports bikes above 500cc.
Especially in the 500cc to 800cc segment, a good growth has been seen in the sales of bikes.
