The new models offer various engine and feature options, while the e-C3X now boasts a 330 km range. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

Citroen AircrossX, BasaltX, and e-C3X Pricing

Citroen has aimed to make the BasaltX and AircrossX more accessible by introducing new variants. Meanwhile, the AircrossX You Turbo Comfort Edition is priced at ₹10.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

New options have also been added for those seeking a naturally aspirated petrol engine combined with a richer feature set. Citroen has introduced the BasaltX Max with a naturally aspirated petrol engine at ₹11.34 lakh. Similarly, the AircrossX Max variant is available at ₹11.62 lakh (ex-showroom).

Citroen AircrossX, BasaltX, and e-C3X Engines

Regarding engines, both the BasaltX and AircrossX will be available with options for both naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines. This lets customers choose the car that best suits their needs. For instance, the naturally aspirated setup might suit those who primarily drive in the city and prioritise a relaxed driving experience.

e-C3X Range

Citroen has introduced the e-C3X Enhanced variant for electric car buyers. Rather than installing a new electric powertrain, the company has focused on improving the EV’s overall usability. The new e-C3X Enhanced now offers a claimed MIDC range of 330 km, up from approximately 320 km previously—meaning there isn’t a massive change in range. The e-C3X has a 29.2 kWh battery pack, while its front-mounted electric motor produces 56 bhp and 143 Nm of torque.

Battery-as-a-Service

A key highlight of the e-C3X is its ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ (BaaS) ownership option. This model lets customers buy the car at a lower initial price and pay separately for battery usage.

The current BaaS structure starts at approximately ₹6.99 lakh, with a battery rental cost of around ₹2.26 per kilometre. This model suits those looking to minimise upfront costs when buying an EV.

Premium Features

The e-C3X Enhanced comes packed with premium features. It includes LED lighting, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charging, and connected-car technology.
