What is the CAT Exam?

CAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in computer-based test mode. This exam provides admission to 21 IIMs and several other major business schools. Approximately 300,000 candidates appear for the CAT exam each year.

Eligibility and Criteria

General, EWS, and NC-OBC category candidates must have completed graduation with 50% marks.
SC/ST/PwBD candidates must have completed graduation with 45% marks.
Must have completed a professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA (CMA)/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with the required percentage.
Candidates in the final year of a bachelor’s degree can also apply.

Application Fee

Candidates from SC and ST categories must deposit ₹1,350. Candidates from all other categories will have to pay ₹2,700. The fee can be paid online.
