Government Business Loan: Due to unemployment and job scarcity, the government is launching new schemes to connect young people with self-employment opportunities. In this direction, the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneurship Development Campaign (MYUVA) has emerged as a significant initiative. The objective of this scheme is to encourage young people to start their own businesses or expand existing ones, rather than wasting time searching for jobs.
Loan Without Interest and Guarantee
Under the MYUVA scheme, young entrepreneurs aged 21 to 40 years are provided with loans up to ₹5 lakhs without any interest or guarantee. This means that the applicant does not need a bank guarantor or to pledge any property as collateral. This facility reduces the risk for those starting small businesses and provides an opportunity to take a step towards self-employment.

Who Can Benefit?
The scheme is available to young people aged 21 to 40 years. The minimum educational qualification is an 8th-grade pass, while those with diplomas, degrees, or skill training can also apply. This scheme helps connect educated and skilled young entrepreneurs with self-employment opportunities.
What are the Goals of the Scheme?
MYUVA aims to do more than just assist a few young people. The government’s goal is to connect approximately 10 lakh young entrepreneurs with self-employment opportunities over the next 10 years. This scheme will not only benefit young entrepreneurs but will also strengthen the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
Application Process and Digital Convenience
Beneficiaries can apply for this scheme entirely online. The application process involves filling out a form on the MSME department’s portal, which is then sent to the bank after verification by the District Industries Centre. After review, the bank approves the loan and disburses the amount. Due to the digital process, this scheme is becoming extremely popular among young people.

Loan Repayment and Additional Facilities
After receiving the loan, it must be repaid within the stipulated time. In many cases, the initial EMIs may be deferred for a few months. The scheme also provides a 10% margin money, which helps with the initial costs of the business. If the beneficiary runs the business successfully, the margin money can even be converted into a subsidy.
The scheme benefits millions of young people
So far, millions of young people have applied under the MYUVA scheme, and thousands have received loans. Young people who were previously struggling to find jobs are now becoming self-reliant by starting their own businesses. The scheme is gradually being implemented in all districts of Uttar Pradesh and is promoting a culture of self-employment.
