Government job: Good news for job seekers. The Mohan government of Madhya Pradesh is going to make a big change in the selection examination for government jobs. Recruitment examinations through the State Public Service Commission and the Staff Selection Board will no longer be held repeatedly. On the lines of the Union Public Service Commission, the examination will be held once a year and a list will be prepared according to merit for all categories of posts.

The waiting list will also remain the same. For this, the number of posts will be asked from all departments once a year and on that basis the calendar will be decided in September. The General Administration Department is preparing to implement this selection process from January 2026.

The new decision will save time

In the state, recruitment for Class II and Executive Class III posts is done through the State Public Service Commission, while for Class III and IV, the Staff Selection Board conducts examinations. Now, as and when posts become available from the departments, these two recruitment agencies conduct examinations according to their calendar. This not only takes time, but candidates have to pay fees repeatedly, and agencies have to make arrangements for human resources and other things to conduct examinations.

In view of this, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had given instructions to change the system of recruitment examinations. Accordingly, the General Administration Department has prepared a blueprint for changes in other processes including departmental recruitment rules along with the examinations of the State Public Service Commission and the Staff Selection Board. According to sources, the way the Union Public Service Commission conducts an examination, the selection will be done on the basis of merit for the available posts of various categories.

Sources say that for transparency, everything from rules to exam details will be online. Currently, many things are not made public in the exams conducted through the State Public Service Commission, due to which candidates go to court. The exam results or the selection list are stayed. This stops the entire process. To prevent this from happening in the future, all information will be made available online so that no one has any confusion or doubt due to lack of information.
