Why is e-nomination necessary?
If you do e-nomination in EPF, then it is very easy for you to take advantage of all the facilities related to EPF. If any kind of accident happens to you and you die in it, then your PF and pension money is directly given to the nominee. At the same time, through easy online claim, help is received immediately without any hassle or going to the office.
The nominee taking advantage of the pension does not need to show the certificate again and again to get the pension. The person whom you have made the nominee is given the benefit of all the facilities safely and without any hassle. If you want that the person you have nominated does not face any problem in the future, then it is very important for you to do e-nomination in EPF. For this, you can register by going to the website of Labour Ministry.
How to do e-nomination through EPFO portal?
To enroll, you have to go to EPFO Member e-Sewa portal. From there you have to login with UAN and password. After this, go to ‘Manage’ tab for e-nomination and click on ‘E-Nomination’. Go to ‘Enter New Nomination’ and provide family details. Select Yes/No from here. After this, upload nominee details, photo and save. Enter share percentage and save EPF nomination. Go to ‘Pending Nomination’ and e-Sign. Finally, you have to enter Aadhaar Virtual ID and confirm with OTP. You can add more than one nominee in this and can also vary their share.
