New Delhi: Indian Railways is going to give passengers a big gift on the occasion of Diwali, which is being widely discussed. The Vande Bharat Sleeper train may soon be operational in India. Currently, all Vande Bharat trains operating in the country only have seating facilities. However, the Vande Bharat Sleeper will be equipped with all the amenities and is expected to be very popular among the people.
The design and look of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will be released next week and will be unique. It will currently operate only on Rajdhani routes. This train will be equipped with modern features and will look like an aeroplane. Companies are working rapidly on their development. The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is being developed by the Central Railway.
Vande Bharat Sleeper to Launch Soon
According to the Union Railway Minister, the second Vande Bharat Sleeper train is expected to be ready by October 15, 2015. Both trains may be launched simultaneously, which is expected to be very popular among the people. Therefore, we are waiting for the second rake. As soon as the second rake is received, routes will be finalised, after which operations can commence soon.
Many advanced amenities can be added to it. It is claimed that the new Vande Bharat Sleeper train will completely transform the travel experience. It will consist of a total of 16 coaches. It will also feature modern technology for safety. Each coach will have a visual system.
Security cameras, a modular pantry, and automatic announcements are also included. Most importantly, there will be automatic doors for transitioning between coaches and an emergency talkback unit. It will also have a seating capacity for approximately 1,130 passengers.
Who has the contract for Vande Bharat Sleeper?
Indian Railways has awarded the contract to build the Vande Bharat Sleeper train to three companies. These include the state-owned company BEML Kinet Railway Solutions and a consortium of Titagarh Rail Systems Limited and BHEL.
The railways also decided to launch two Vande Bharat sleeper trains simultaneously. Last month, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced that the first train would be launched only after the second train is fully ready.
