Uttarakhand Anganwadi Workers – Supervisor Quota Hiked to 50%; Big Diwali Gift for Workers

Uttarakhand Anganwadi promotion:- Before Diwali, good news has arrived for women. A decision has been made to increase the promotion quota for Anganwadi workers. This means that 50 per cent of female Anganwadi workers will be directly promoted to supervisor. This proposal was approved in the Uttarakhand government’s cabinet meeting. The state’s Anganwadi Women and Child Development Department is amending the Subordinate Supervisor Service Rules 2021. Previously, this quota was only 40 per cent.

Accordingly, the state government has increased this quota by 10%. Mini Anganwadi centres will also be given a boost. Now, mini Anganwadi centres will be converted into full-fledged centres.

Mini Anganwadi centres will also be promoted.

In a cabinet meeting chaired by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a decision was taken to convert all mini Anganwadi centres in the state into full-fledged Anganwadi centres, in accordance with central government guidelines. Following this decision, mini Anganwadi workers will now be directly promoted to the position of supervisor.

This government move will not only improve the quality of service but also provide new hope and opportunities for workers. Their salaries will also increase upon becoming supervisors. Additionally, the state government has decided to make minor amendments to the proposed assembly constituencies in Raipur and its surrounding areas as a freeze zone, allowing the construction of small shops there.

Amendment of Rules

It has been decided to amend the service rules for health workers and health supervisors working under the Medical Health and Medical Education Department.

This will now allow health workers to transfer their posts once in their lifetime after five years of sufficient service. Furthermore, they will be the most junior in the cadre of the new district. This change will also facilitate transfers from hilly areas to plain areas and mountainous districts.
