The Finance Ministry stated in the post that an attempt is being made to create unnecessary panic by spreading misinformation. In fact, in June, more transactions were conducted through UPI than through Visa transactions.
On June 1, 2025, UPI transactions were worth 64.4 crores, and the next day, they also crossed 65 crores. A year ago, i.e. in the financial year 2025, 64 crore UPI transactions were done.
