UP Government Announces 50% Subsidy on Agricultural Equipment, Apply from 20th December!

Crop Residue Management Plan: The central and state governments have launched a new initiative for farmers to promote advanced and modern farming techniques. Deputy Director of Agriculture, Basti, Ashok Kumar Gautam, informed in media that under the Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization and Crop Residue Management Scheme, managed by the Agriculture Department, farmers can receive up to a 50% subsidy on agricultural equipment. This subsidy covers agricultural protection equipment, agricultural drones, and equipment for crop residue management. Farmers can apply for the subsidy until December 20 to receive the agricultural equipment.

Deadline for Application

Deputy Director of Agriculture, Basti, has stated that the last date for applying to avail of the benefits of this scheme is 20th December, before midnight. Interested farmers can apply until the deadline. Essential documents for application include an Aadhar card, bank passbook, and Khetauni.

Token Amount Details for Equipment Purchase

Under this scheme, a token amount is required for the purchase of agricultural equipment. There will be no token fee for machines priced below Rs 10,000. For agricultural machines with a subsidy ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1 lakh, a token amount of Rs 2,500 is required. For machines with a subsidy above Rs 1 lakh, the booking amount will be Rs 5,000.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Process

1. Visit the Agriculture Office or Jan Seva Kendra:

  • Farmers can apply in person by visiting the agriculture office on any working day.
  • Alternatively, they can apply through a Jan Seva Kendra.

  • After booking the equipment, a token will be generated for the application.

4. E-Lottery Process:

  • The e-lottery process will be carried out to select the farmers who will receive the subsidy. This process will take place in the presence of the District Officer.
