UP CM Yuva Yojana Update 2026: If you’re a resident of Uttar Pradesh and want to provide employment instead of just looking for a job, the Yogi government’s Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (MYUVA) scheme could be a game-changer for you.
According to the latest update from February 2026, the government has further accelerated the scheme’s goals and directed officials to achieve 100% of the target by March 15, 2026. The scheme’s primary objective is to create 100,000 youth as entrepreneurs every year and establish 1 million new units over the next 10 years.
Benefits Available in Two Phases
This scheme is specifically for young people who have skills but lack capital. It is implemented in two phases:

Phase 1
Businesses with project costs up to ₹5 lakh are approved in this phase. Under this scheme, a loan of up to ₹4.5 lakh is available from the bank, interest-free (0%) and collateral-free. A six-month moratorium is also provided for repayment of the loan, after which it must be repaid over a period of four years.
Phase 2
After successfully and timely repayment of the first phase loan, entrepreneurs become eligible for the second phase. The project cost can be increased to ₹10 lakh. Significantly, this phase offers a 50 percent interest subsidy, and the government also covers the CGTMSE cover fee.
Who Can Apply
- To avail the scheme, applicants must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- The age limit must be between 21 and 40 years, although certain categories may be exempted as per the rules.
- Educational qualifications require at least an 8th-grade pass. T
- he most important requirement is that the applicant must have received training under a government training scheme (such as the Vishwakarma Shramik Samman Yojana, ODOP Training, or the UP Skill Development Mission) or obtained a diploma or degree in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
- Furthermore, the applicant must not be a beneficiary of any other government self-employment scheme.
Application Process and Required Documents
The application for the Mukhyamantri Yuva Yojana is completely online and can be done through the MSME portal or cmyuva.org.in. An Aadhaar card, PAN card, residence certificate, bank passbook, and educational qualification documents are required. You must also upload a ‘Project Report’ of your proposed business.

After registering on the portal, OTP verification is done using your Aadhaar and mobile number, after which you can submit your application by filling in your personal and business details. In 2026, the government introduced tracking through a digital dashboard and mobile app to make the process more transparent.
Category-wise Contribution
Under the scheme, the entire amount is not provided as a loan; instead, applicants are required to contribute a portion of the project cost based on their category, known as “margin money.” This contribution is 15 percent for the general category, 12.5 percent for the Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 10 percent for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and persons with disabilities. The government also provides a margin money subsidy of 10% (maximum ₹50,000) on the project cost, reducing the burden on beneficiaries.
