In today’s digital India, Aadhaar card is not just an ID proof. It has become the backbone of every citizen’s digital identity. Whether it is for government schemes, opening a bank account, or school admission of a child – Aadhaar is needed everywhere.
If any detail in your Aadhaar, like name, address, or date of birth, is wrong or very old, then it is very important to update it. Now, the good news is that UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has once again extended the free Aadhaar update facility. This time the chance is open till 14 June 2026.
Why update Aadhaar?
If your Aadhaar card is older than 10 years and you never changed any detail, then you should update it. UIDAI says people must keep Aadhaar updated so that they can use all government services without problem.
