Vande Bharat Express: Good news for railway passengers. If you’re looking to travel on the Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Jodhpur, there’s some significant news for you. The Railway Ministry has updated the stoppages for this semi-high-speed train. To enhance passenger convenience, the Railways has introduced an additional stop.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Jodhpur-Delhi Expressway on September 25 last year, and the Vande Bharat Express was launched shortly after. It started carrying passengers on September 27. This train runs six days a week, excluding Tuesdays, and covers the 606-kilometer journey in about 8 hours and 5 minutes.
Where will the train be stopping now?
As per the railway’s announcement, the train will now halt at nine stations instead of the previous eight. The new stops include Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Gandhi Nagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Gurugram. According to a report from Indian Express, Amit Sudarshan, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, mentioned that a trial stoppage has been initiated at Gandhi Nagar Jaipur station for the convenience of passengers, which will continue until further notice.
Changes to train timings have also been made
Train No. 26481, the Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, departs from Jodhpur at 5:30 am, arrives in Jaipur at 9:20 am, and leaves Jaipur at 9:25 am, reaching Delhi Cantt at 1:30 pm.
On the return trip, train number 26482 leaves Delhi Cantt at 3:10 pm, arrives in Jaipur at 7:00 pm, and departs at 7:05 pm, finally reaching Jodhpur at 11:20 pm.
With the new schedule starting March 29th, train number 26481 will now arrive at Gandhi Nagar Jaipur station at 9:34 AM and depart at 9:36 AM. Meanwhile, train number 26482 will arrive at 6:37 PM and leave at 6:39 PM. This railway decision is anticipated to greatly enhance convenience for passengers, particularly those in the Jaipur area.
