Where are the trains being made
10 Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are ready at the government’s public sector undertaking (PSU) Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) in Bengaluru, and 8 to 10 Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are ready at Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. BEML and ICF are jointly manufacturing the coaches of these trains.
Features of Vande Bharat Sleeper

The next-generation Vande Bharat Sleeper trains have been designed for a speed of 160 to 240 kmph. Initially, they will be run at a speed of 160 kmph, after which their speed will be increased in a phased manner. Currently, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Vande Bharat (chair car) trains run at a maximum speed of 130 kmph.
Why is this change necessary
Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will make long-distance travel in Indian Railways easy and comfortable. Till now, those who preferred Shatabdi or Rajdhani trains for night travel will now get even better facilities in the Vande Bharat Sleeper. This move will not only provide relief to passengers but will also help in making Indian Railways one of the most modern rail systems in the world.
