Amrit Bharat Express– State Gets New Amrit Bharat Express: Check Route, Stoppages & Timings

Amrit Bharat Express: Good news for the people of Uttar Pradesh. The Railway Board has approved the launch of a new Amrit Bharat Express train for Uttar Pradesh. These trains offer a similar travel experience to the Vande Bharat Express, but are specifically designed to provide affordable service to low- and lower-middle-income class passengers.

Last month, the Railway Ministry launched two Amrit Bharat Express trains between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. These are the Banaras-Hadapsar (Pune) Amrit Bharat Express and the Ayodhya Cantt-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Amrit Bharat Express.

New Amrit Bharat Express train route

The national transporter has approved the launch of a new Amrit Bharat Express train between Delhi and Gorakhpur. This new train is expected to further improve rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and the national capital. In a letter dated April 27, 2026, the RB said: “The Ministry of Railways approves the introduction of Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express.”

Currently, Amrit Bharat Express runs between Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) and Darbhanga Junction, with Gorakhpur Junction being a special stop.

Delhi-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express Train Number and Stoppages

The Delhi-Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 14046/14045. During its journey, the train will stop at 11 stations. These include Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Burhwal, Gonda, Balrampur, Barhni, Siddharth Nagar, and Anand Nagar.

Timing of Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express (Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express Timing)

The Gorakhpur-Delhi-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express train will run weekly. This train will depart from Delhi and Gorakhpur every Tuesday. Train No. 14046 will depart Delhi at 00:40 and arrive Gorakhpur at 15:50 the next day. On the return journey, Train No. 14045 will depart Gorakhpur Junction at 9:40 PM and arrive Delhi Junction at 12:50 PM the next day.
