Silver Price: On Thursday, futures prices for both gold and silver declined. Trading in the domestic futures market began on a lower note for both gold and silver. At the time of writing, gold was hovering around ₹159,651 per 10 grams on the MCX, while silver was trading at approximately ₹272,391 per kilogram. In the previous trading session, silver had closed at ₹274,265 per kilogram.
According to GoodReturns, silver prices subsequently rose to ₹280,000 per kilogram. Meanwhile, according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of silver was recorded at ₹267,302 per kilogram by the time the market closed on Wednesday evening.
On January 29, the futures price of silver had reached a high of ₹420,048 per kilogram. If you are considering purchasing silver, it is advisable to check the latest rates before proceeding.

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced new standards for E22, E25, E27, and E30 fuels, allowing for ethanol blending in petrol from 22 percent to 30 percent. This move comes at a time when the ongoing conflict between Iran and the US has not only driven crude oil prices through the roof but has also led to a significant supply crisis.
