New Delhi: There’s good news for senior citizens in Uttar Pradesh. They will no longer have to visit offices or government departments to receive their old-age pension. The government has implemented a new system for this. According to the new rules, the identification and verification of eligible recipients for the old-age pension will now be done automatically through the Family ID, a family identification system.

This means that as soon as an eligible person turns 60, their pension will automatically start being credited to their account. This is a great update for pensioners, which will also eliminate many difficulties. You can find important details related to this below. UP Minister of State for Social Welfare, Aseem Arun, has provided this important information. The old-age pension scheme run by the UP Social Welfare Department has proven even more effective in 2025.
