SBI Card Fees Revised: If you use a State Bank of India (SBI) credit card, this is very important news for you. SBI Card has announced changes to several of its service charges and fee structures. These new changes will come into effect on November 1, 2025. The new fees will apply to certain transactions, such as education payments, wallet loads, and card replacements. Overall, customers may have to pay additional fees on some transactions starting next month.

If you pay your school or college fees through a third-party app or by adding money to a digital wallet, an additional 1% charge will now apply. However, if you pay directly through the school, college, or university’s website or through their POS machine, there will be no additional fee. This means you’ll need to be careful about the payment method, as even small charges can have a significant impact on your wallet.

According to a report, if you load more than Rs 1,000 into a digital wallet like Paytm or PhonePe, SBI Card will now charge a 1% tax. This charge applies to select merchant codes. This means that before recharging your wallet, it’s important to check whether the transaction is chargeable or not to avoid inadvertent additional expenses.

SBI Card has continued to apply the old service charges that were applicable earlier, including for services like cash payments, cheque payments, card replacement and late payments.
