Salary Update: Big step by state government. While submitting property details is now strictly mandatory for millions of Uttar Pradesh government employees, a significant number of state employees are still ignoring the rules. According to official information, 68,236 state employees have not yet uploaded details of their movable and immovable assets to the Human Resource Portal.
The government has now instructed all officers and employees to submit their property details online by January 31st. Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal issued clear orders in this regard, urging them to ensure compliance with the deadline. Despite this, a large number of employees failed to take the orders seriously. The state government has now taken a firm stance on this negligence. Orders have been implemented to withhold the salaries of employees who have not submitted their property details by the stipulated deadline.
34926 third class employees in the defaulter list
The administration says this step is necessary to ensure transparency and accountability. Looking at the department-wise data, the highest number of 34,926 Class III employees are on the defaulter list. Furthermore, 22,624 Class IV employees, 7,204 Class II employees, and 2,628 Class I officers have not yet submitted their details. This situation is considered a matter of concern at the administrative level.
Departmental action can also be taken
Government sources say that submitting annual property details is mandatory under service rules. This maintains transparency regarding employees’ income and assets and helps curb corruption. Officials have clarified that those who disobey orders may face departmental action, including withholding salaries. Now, it remains to be seen how many employees update their details on the portal as quickly as possible after the strictures.
