According to the official information received from the website of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed only in the state of Tripura today, on July 19, 2025. The reason for this is the important festival of Tripura’s ‘Ker Puja’. Today, the religious fervor of Ker Puja is spread all over Tripura, including Agartala.
It is a major and traditional festival of Tripura, in which people worship Ker Devta, the protector deity of Vastu, according to their tribal traditions. This festival is celebrated two weeks after Kharchi Puja. In the rest of the country, as today is the third Saturday, banks will remain open for normal functioning.
Banking services are available even when banks are closed in Agartala
Even though banks are closed in Agartala today, you need not worry about your banking needs. Most of the online banking services will remain fully available.
Customers can easily access their banking services through net banking or a mobile app.
UPI, money transfer, and all other types of online transactions will remain fully operational.
Additionally, ATM services will also remain functional throughout the day, allowing you to withdraw cash.
This means that if you are outside Tripura, you can easily carry out your normal bank tasks.
