New Delhi: The central and state governments provide rations to a large number of poor people. Since the time of the coronavirus pandemic, the government has been distributing free rations, but now the government has launched a major campaign to bring transparency to the public distribution system and prevent fraud.
The Bihar government will now remove the names of ineligible ration cardholders who are not complying with the rules. A large-scale drive will be conducted in the state to remove the names of ineligible individuals holding ration cards who are not following the regulations.

The department has issued instructions to all ration cardholders to participate in the e-KYC campaign. Physical verification will be conducted based on the suspicious ration card management system data provided by the Government of India.
Suspicious Cards to be Investigated
The department has directed sub-divisional officers to investigate suspicious cards in a campaign mode. The government’s objective is to identify individuals who are receiving ration benefits despite being ineligible. If found ineligible, their names will be removed from the list. Everyone must complete this process by December 30th.

Aadhaar seeding, or e-KYC, has been made mandatory for all ration cardholders by December 30th. The instructions state that physical verification of the suspicious ration card management system data available in their respective areas should be conducted in a campaign mode for quick resolution. It also mandates ensuring 100% e-KYC completion for all beneficiaries covered under the National Food Security Act.
E-KYC Can Be Done Soon
To make this campaign successful, active participation is required. Instructions have also been given to ensure widespread dissemination of information among beneficiaries and ration cardholders through various means to ensure the success of the campaign.
More and more beneficiaries can participate in the camp and complete the e-KYC process. It is believed that this initiative will help identify ineligible individuals in the public distribution system, while eligible beneficiaries will receive their benefits on time.
