Ration Card eKYC: Ration card holders in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Punjab have received important news. It is essential to complete your KYC by March 31; failure to do so will result in the cessation of ration benefits starting in April, and your name will be removed from the beneficiary list. For assistance with eKYC, ration card holders may reach out to their local PDS shop or dealer.

Beneficiaries residing in other states are not required to return to their home state for Aadhaar seeding. They can complete the eKYC process using an e-POS machine at the nearest public distribution system shop available to them. According to directives from the Government of India, beneficiaries who do not complete their KYC will lose their entitlement to ration after April 2025.

The Aadhaar card, ration card, or BPL card is necessary for various central and state government schemes. If your e-KYC has already been processed, it will facilitate the government’s ability to provide you with scheme benefits. Conversely, if KYC is not completed, the government may halt the ration supply.

The e-KYC process, which stands for Know Your Customer, is designed to verify the identities of ration card holders and eliminate fraudulent ration cards. Completing the KYC process will benefit only those who are eligible. Any fraudulent ration cards will be subject to cancellation. Under the eKYC procedure, each member associated with a ration card must ensure that their name, date of birth, and other details align with their Aadhaar information.

Instructions for completing Ration Card e-KYC online:

1. Visit the official Public Distribution System (PDS) website specific to your state, as each state has its own e-KYC platform.
