How was the fraud detected?

This significant case has come to light after Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC verification by the state government. Over 29 lakh 2 thousand people have used the free ration system for years by giving wrong information. Now the names of such people will be removed from the list. A proposal in this regard has also been sent to Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara in the Rajasthan government.

These names are also being correctly investigated to determine why these people joined the scheme. He also clarified that only people between them would benefit from it.
Collectors can remove names.
To make the process of adding eligible people to the scheme and removing the names of ineligible people transparent, the government has also given powers to the District Collectors. Now, eligible persons can add their names through the Collector’s office or the departmental website. However, 16 lakh ineligible people have voluntarily removed their names.
This number may also increase in the future. The state government has started the Give Up campaign, in which financially well-off people voluntarily opt out of the scheme. Currently, 4.46 crore people in Rajasthan benefit from free wheat and rice.
