New Delhi: The Rajasthan government has announced a significant gift before Diwali. During the festive season, the government has provided significant relief to the dependent mothers of deceased personnel. The state government has decided to increase the family pension. New amendment orders have also been issued. The dependent parents of deceased personnel will now receive 50 per cent of the family pension, in addition to the 30 per cent.

In addition, mentally or physically disabled sons and daughters will be able to receive family pension benefits even after marriage. The government has also issued an order amending the Rajasthan Civil Services Rules, which will benefit a large number of people.

What is the family pension amount?

The government has decided to increase the family pension for the parents of deceased personnel by 5 per cent. This amount will be given to the employee as their own pension. Only per of the employee’s total salary benefits will be provided to the parents as a family pension.

The wife’s pension is 50 per cent of the total salary for the first seven years and 30 per cent thereafter. Furthermore, disabled sons and daughters will also be eligible for pension benefits. This increased amount will provide a significant benefit to the families of employees.

For information, it’s worth noting that a disabled son or daughter can easily receive pension benefits if they earn a monthly salary of ₹8,850 and a total monthly income of ₹13,980, including DA. Until now, a pension was only available to those earning a maximum of ₹12,500 per month. The government has already provided such significant benefits to employees before.
