Every day, lakhs of people travel by train in India. Long-distance trains take several hours to two-three days. In such a situation, every passenger is worried about food. Many people take food from vendors at the station or order from the train pantry. But many people still do not know how much price the railways have fixed for food and what all is available on it.
The Railway Ministry has recently given complete information about this to the passengers on its official social media account. The ministry has clearly stated the rates and menu of the veg thali.
Indian Railways has told the price of veg meal. If you take the veg meal at the station, it will cost Rs 70. But if you order the same meal while sitting in the train, then you have to pay Rs 80.

In the standard veg thali, you will get 2 parathas or 4 rotis (100 grams), plain rice (150 grams), dal or sambhar (150 grams), one vegetable (100 grams), curd (80 grams), and one small packet of pickle (12 grams). This food is healthy and low in price. You can take it from the station or order it on the train.
If any pantry worker or food seller asks you for more money or gives you less food, you should not keep quiet. First, show them this message from the Railways. If they still do not listen, you can make a complaint through the railway helpline or the online complaint system.
Many people worry about food in the train. Sometimes they are asked to pay more, or they get bad food. That is why Railways gave this information. It will help passengers to get good food at the right price. If you are going to travel by train, remember this. It will help you save money and also speak up if someone tries to cheat you.
