PNG Gas- Big relief for LPG Gas cylinders of state. Natural gas i.e. PNG will be supplied to kitchens through pipelines in urban areas of all 38 districts of Bihar. More than 30 lakh PNG domestic connections will be given. The state government has approved the Bihar Urban Gas Distribution Policy, 2025 to promote clean energy. The Food and Consumer Protection Department has implemented this policy in the state by issuing a notification. This facility will be restored soon.

After the implementation of this policy in the state, it will be easy to provide natural gas for industrial, commercial, transport and domestic use. For this, the city gas distribution (CGD) network will be expanded. About 650 CNG stations will be built in the state. The responsibility of the District Magistrates has been ensured to speed up the work of laying LPG pipes in the cities. For its regular monitoring, an Urban Gas Monitoring and Cooperation Committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the DM. It will have 15 members including the SP.

At the same time, there will be a state-level coordination committee under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner. The Secretary-Principal Secretary of the Food and Consumer Protection Department will be the nodal officer at the state level. Regarding this, Bihar Urban Gas Distribution Policy 2025 has been implemented in the state.

This policy has been implemented to complete the work of supply of LPG pipes to homes soon and to increase the share of natural gas in energy. From whom will the companies take permission to lay underground pipes in the cities, who will solve this problem, all this has been decided in the policy. For this, an application will be given to the Additional District Nodal Officer. After the piped gas facility is restored, people’s kitchen budget will also improve because there will be savings in gas. Currently, the price of the cylinder is high due to the cost of refilling and transportation. There will be no shortage of gas in homes 24 hours a day.
