PNB Inoperative Accounts Update
PNB Inoperative Accounts Update

Important news for crores of Punjab National Bank customers! There is not much time left. This work must be done online or offline by March 26, or the account may be closed. According to the bank’s guidelines, customers must update their Know Your Customer (KYC) details by March 26. This deadline applies to those who have not updated their KYC by March 31, 2024.

Online or Offline KYC Update Process

Customers can visit any Punjab National Bank branch to update their KYC. This can also be done online through the PNB ONE app, internet banking, or registered email. If preferred, the customer can complete the KYC process by post.

Required Documents for KYC

To complete the KYC process, customers must submit:

  1. Identity proof
  2. Address proof
  3. Recent passport-size photograph
  4. PAN card or Form 60
  5. Mobile number
  6. Income proof

Only after submitting these documents will the account remain active, allowing transactions.

What Happens If KYC Is Not Updated?

Punjab National Bank has clearly stated that if KYC is not updated within the deadline, customers will not be able to operate their bank accounts. In simple terms, the account will be deactivated.

Deadline for KYC Update

The bank has given 26 days for customers to update their KYC. If the KYC of a savings account is not updated within this period, the account will be deactivated, and no transactions can be made.

How to Reactivate a Deactivated Account?

Customers can complete the KYC process through the Get App by submitting the necessary documents. Accounts that have been deactivated will not be reactivated until the KYC is updated.

Why is KYC Important?

The KYC process verifies the identity and address of the customer. Its purpose is to ensure the real identity of the customer and prevent money laundering and terrorism financing. Updating KYC on time is very important. Failure to do so may result in transaction-related problems.
