PM Mudra Yojana– Micro, small and medium enterprises play an important role in the country’s economy. Small shopkeepers, artisans, auto drivers, vegetable vendors, women running beauty parlors, etc. are the backbone of the country’s economy. To encourage starting one’s own business in the country, the central and state governments are running many great schemes at their own level. In this episode, today we are going to tell you about the government’s Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.

This scheme was started by the Government of India in the year 2015. Under this scheme, the government is providing loans up to Rs 20 lakh to people to start a business on easy terms. Loans are provided in four categories under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. These include Shishu, Kishor, Tarun and Tarun Plus categories.

In the Shishu category, the beneficiary is given a total loan of up to Rs 50 thousand. In the Kishore category, loans ranging from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 5 lakh are available. In the Tarun category, you can take a loan of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Whereas in the Tarun Plus category, you are given a loan of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

If you also want to start your business by taking a loan under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, then first of all you will have to go to your nearest bank to take the loan. After this, you have to take the Mudra form from there and fill it. After filling the form, you have to attach the necessary documents with it and submit it. After submitting the form, your application will be reviewed. If everything is correct then the loan will be issued in your name.

Under this scheme, small shopkeepers, farmers, animal herders, small artisans, home based businesses, women entrepreneurs, startups starting a new business, MSME, street vendors, retailers etc. can avail loans.
