PM Kisan Yojana- Lakhs of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). Under this direct benefit transfer scheme of the government, farmers get Rs 6,000 every year in three equal installments. Every four months, an installment of Rs 2,000 is sent directly to the farmers’ bank account.

If you want to get the 20th installment on time, then complete the eKYC as soon as possible and check your name, account and Aadhaar details. Many times the installment of farmers has been stuck due to the reason that the name given in the scheme is different from Aadhaar.

When will the 20th installment come?

Although the official date has not been announced yet, but according to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can release this installment in the first week of July. The last i.e. 19th installment came in February 2025, so now the time has come for the 20th installment. It is expected that PM Modi will release it in the first week of July 2025.

If the name does not match with Aadhaar, the installment may get stuck

The installment of many farmers gets stopped only because the name filled in their PM Kisan form does not match with the Aadhar card. Many times the name is entered in the local language or the middle name is left out, due to which matching with Aadhar is not possible and the installment gets stopped.

What to do to correct the name?

Online Method

Visit the website https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Click on Updation of Self Registered Farmer in Farmer Corner.

Enter Aadhaar number and captcha.

Fill the name as it is in the Aadhar card and submit.

Offline method

Go to the nearest CSC center or agriculture department office.

Carry your Aadhaar card, land papers, bank passbook and PM-Kisan ID with you.

From there you can get the name, account or other details corrected.

Why is e-KYC necessary?

According to the PM Kisan website, it is mandatory to do eKYC. Without eKYC, no farmer can avail the benefit of installment. eKYC can be done in two ways.

OTP based eKYC (mobile number must be linked)

eKYC through biometrics by visiting CSC center

How to check the status of your installment?

Go to https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Click on Know Your Status.

Enter your registration number or Aadhaar number.

You can see the status of your installment on the screen.
