Cases of fraud are emerging in the ambitious PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which provides financial assistance to farmers. Some time ago, a case involving crores of rupees being deposited into the accounts of 33,638 fake farmers in Jalore, Rajasthan, was exposed. Now, in a major verification drive in Uttar Pradesh, it has come to light that more than 5 lakh ineligible farmers were taking advantage of this scheme. The names of all these farmers are now being removed from the list of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
According to the information, the money of the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will not come into the accounts of these ineligible farmers. Investigation has revealed that there are more than 5 lakh such families in Uttar Pradesh where both the husband and wife were taking the money of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Whereas according to the rules, only one of them should get the benefit of this scheme. Most such cases have come to light from the Pratapgarh district.
Big revelation in the investigation

The administration is continuously engaged in verification to remove the names of ineligible farmers. Meanwhile, when the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department matched the ration card data with Aadhaar card and bank details, the truth came out.
District-wise figures
Pratapgarh:- More than 37,000 husband-wife couples were taking advantage of the scheme.
Prayagraj:- More than 29,000 such cases came to light.
Sitapur:- It is at number three in this list.
Sambhal:- It is at number four.
Ghaziabad:- The least number of ineligible farmers have been found.
The next installment will not be received, and the money will be recovered
Now, the next installment of PM Kisan Samman Yojana will not come in the accounts of these ineligible farmers. Not only this, the administration is also preparing to recover the amount taken from them so far. If a family is taking advantage of the scheme from the first installment itself, then it may now have to return a large amount.
If the government prepares to recover 19 installments, then each ineligible family will have to return ₹ 38,000 (19 installments x ₹ 2000 per installment). This will definitely put a big financial burden on them.
People with permanent jobs or businesses were also taking advantage
After verification with the Aadhar card, many more shocking revelations are being made. More than 3,000 such cases have come to light in which people have a permanent job or their own business. According to the rules, people with government jobs or in the high-income group are not eligible for this scheme. Despite this, they were taking advantage of the PM Kisan Samman Yojana. The names of all such people have also been removed from the list. This shows that some people were deliberately violating the rules.
Those who do not get a Kisan ID also suffer losses

A large number of farmers in Uttar Pradesh have not yet done Farmer Registration, also known as Farmer ID. In such a situation, the chances of the 20th installment coming to their accounts are very low. According to the website of Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department (upfr.agristack.gov.in), only 49.78% of the farmers have got farmer registration done so far. Whereas about 2.88 crore farmers in the state are associated with the PM Kisan Yojana. This is a big difference, which shows that lakhs of farmers have not yet ensured their eligibility.
When will the 20th installment of PM Kisan Samman Yojana come
Farmers across the country are waiting for the 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana. Currently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a foreign tour. He has a program in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on August 2. There is a strong possibility that an installment of ₹ 2,000 may come into the account of farmers on this day, or some big announcement may be made in this regard. However, no official information has come from the PMO, PIB, or the Ministry of Agriculture yet. Farmers are advised to rely only on official announcements.
