PM Kisan Yojana- India is an agricultural country. A large population depends on farming for their livelihood. The hard work of farmers ensures our country’s food security. Furthermore, the agricultural sector also strengthens the country’s economy. However, since independence, millions of farmers in the country have been facing problems such as financial hardship, lack of resources, and rising farming costs.

In view of these problems faced by farmers, the Government of India is implementing several excellent schemes. One such scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, the Government of India provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to the country’s farmers through three annual installments. Each installment includes Rs 2,000 in the farmers’ accounts.

Can the 21st installment of PM Kisan Yojana be credited to your account before Diwali?

The Government of India has so far released a total of 20 installments of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The 20th installment was released by the Central Government on August 2, 2025. During this period, an amount of Rs 2 thousand was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers of the country through DBT.

Farmers are now eagerly waiting for the 21st installment

Farmers want to know by when the government can release the 21st installment of this scheme.
If media reports are to be believed, the Central Government can give the gift of 21st installment to the farmers before Diwali. However, the government has not made any official announcement regarding the installment release dates.

Can both husband and wife avail the benefits of this scheme?

Many farmers often ask whether both husband and wife can apply together and avail the benefits of this scheme. According to the rules of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, only one member of the family can avail the benefits of this scheme. If more than one person in a family applies for the scheme, their application may be cancelled. For this reason, farmer husband and wife cannot avail the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana together.
