This scheme is very popular in the country. The central government started this scheme in the year 2019.
Under this ambitious scheme, the Government of India sends financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand to the farmers’ account every year in the form of three equal installments of Rs 2 thousand. So far, the central government has released a total of 19 installments of this scheme. Now crores of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment. However, the government has not yet officially announced the dates for releasing the 20th installment.

According to the rules of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmer husband and wife cannot avail the benefits of this scheme together. It is clearly mentioned in the rules of this scheme that the benefit of the scheme is given to only one member in a family.
Only that member of the family gets the benefit of this scheme in whose name the agricultural land is registered.
