Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is an important scheme to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers of the country. Recently, the new beneficiary list for 2025 has been released, which includes the names of those farmers who are eligible for the next installment. This time the government has made some strict rules, due to which only eligible farmers will be able to take advantage of the scheme.
Who is the eligibility
To get the benefit under this scheme, the farmer must have cultivable land up to 2 hectares. Also, eKYC and land verification of farmers is mandatory. Apart from this, the bank account should be linked to Aadhaar. The scheme does not include government employees, who get pension of more than Rs 10,000, and farmers filing income tax returns.
What to do if the name is not on the new list
If the name is not in the new beneficiary list, farmers should immediately contact their nearest CSC center or agriculture department and update their information. This will not cause any hindrance in the next installment and the assistance amount will reach directly to their bank account.
Waiting for the 20th installment and important points
The 19th installment was released on 24 February 2025, in which financial assistance was given to crores of farmers. Now farmers are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment, which is likely to come in June 2025. For this, it is necessary to complete all the necessary documents and eKYC on time so that there is no possibility of the amount getting stuck.
How to check the beneficiary list
It is very easy to check the beneficiary list. Farmers go to the official website of https://pmkisan.gov.in/, click on “Beneficiary List” in “Farmer’s Corner”. From there select your state, district, tehsil and village and click on “Get Report”. Your list will appear on the screen, which can also be downloaded or printed.
Impact and future of the scheme

This scheme is not only helpful in meeting the expenses of farming, but also motivates farmers to adopt new technology and increase production. In future, the government can start new initiatives like Farmer ID, which will eliminate the need for repeated KYC.
