The money for the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been transferred to the accounts of 9.7 crore farmers. On August 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred ₹20,500 crore from Varanasi. However, at the same time, the central government has also issued an important order. According to this, many farmers who do not meet the eligibility conditions may be removed from the scheme. The payment for the 20th installment of suspicious farmers has also been stopped for now.

Meanwhile, an important message was also issued on the PM Kisan portal. The department has found many suspicious cases where farmers were taking money from the scheme despite not meeting the eligibility conditions. Now, strict action will be taken against them.

In an important message on the PM Kisan portal, the department said that it has found some suspicious cases that do not follow the rules of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Despite this, they are still taking benefits.
Some examples are:
Farmers who took land for farming after December 1, 2019. More than one member of the same family taking benefits, such as husband and wife, or an adult member and a minor member.
Know Your Status
The department has asked farmers to check “Know Your Status” (KYS) by visiting the PM Kisan website or mobile app. If the name is on the list, the money will be sent to the account.
Installment Money Stopped in Suspicious Cases
According to the department, the installment money has been stopped in such suspicious cases. Proper verification will now be done, and only after that will the money be sent. Farmers who do not meet the eligibility rules will have their names removed from the scheme.
