Farmers across the country have been waiting for the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th instalment of PM Kisan on 24 February 2025.
Under this scheme, eligible farmers get ₹2000 every four months. In one year, they receive a total of ₹6000 as financial help. However, to get the benefit of this scheme, farmers must meet some important rules. One of them is completing the e-KYC verification.
e-KYC is Must for PM Kisan Money
The central government has said that e-KYC is must for farmers who want to get money from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. If you have not done e-KYC, do it soon. The process is easy. e-KYC is needed so that the money can go directly to the bank account linked with Aadhaar.
Two Simple Ways to Do e-KYC
Farmers can do e-KYC in two ways — by Aadhaar OTP or by biometric (fingerprint).
1. OTP Based e-KYC
You can do this at home using the PM Kisan website or mobile app. For this, your mobile number must be linked with Aadhaar.
Steps:
Go to pmkisan.gov.in
Click on the “eKYC” option
Enter your Aadhaar number
Enter the OTP sent to your mobile and finish the process
2. Biometric Based e-KYC
If OTP does not work, you can go to your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK).
Steps:
Take your Aadhaar card and mobile number to CSC or SSK
The staff will do your e-KYC using fingerprint
