Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana from Varanasi on Saturday, 2 August. This time, ₹ 2000 has been transferred to the accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers. If you are also a beneficiary of this scheme, but this amount has not yet come to your account, then it means that there is some shortage somewhere. Here we are discussing the 5 main reasons why your installment can be stopped, and also telling you how to fix them.

1. e-KYC is not complete
It has now become mandatory to get e-KYC done in the PM Kisan Yojana. If you have not gotten e-KYC done on time, then your installment may be stopped. To complete e-KYC, go to pmkisan.gov.in. There, enter your Aadhaar number in the e-KYC section and complete the process through OTP. You can also get this work done by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
2. Bank account is not linked to Aadhaar
Under the scheme, money is sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). If your bank account is not linked to your Aadhaar card, then the money will not be transferred. Go to your bank branch and get the Aadhaar seeding process completed. You can also link Aadhaar to a bank account through online net banking or a mobile app.
3. Error in bank information
Often, farmers fill in the wrong account number, IFSC code, or name spelling during registration, due to which the payment fails. Update your information by going to the ‘Updation of Farmer Details’ section on the PM Kisan portal or get it corrected from the CSC center.

4. Error or no update in land records
Land record verification is necessary for PM Kisan. If your land documents are not updated at the panchayat or patwari level, then the installment may stop. Contact your tehsil office or panchayat and get the land records corrected, and get the documents uploaded on the state government portal.
5. Name not in the beneficiary list
Before every installment, the central government releases a new list of beneficiaries. If your name is not in this list, the installment will not come. Visit the official website of PM Kisan and go to ‘Farmers Corner’ and check the ‘Beneficiary List’.
