The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana of the Central Government is proving to be a boon for crores of farmers of the country. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 is sent to the farmers every year directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments. So far, 19 installments of this scheme have been released, and now farmers are eagerly waiting for their 20th installment (PM Kisan 20th Installment), which Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is going to release on August 2.
But, to take advantage of this scheme, the central government has fixed some important conditions, which are mandatory for all farmers. One of these conditions is to make e-KYC mandatory. Many farmers have a big question in their minds, will their installment come to their account if they have not done e-KYC yet? So let us know the answer to this important question in detail.
Will the installment come even without e-KYC
Let us tell you that the government had already informed the farmers several times to get e-KYC done. E-KYC is a mandatory condition in the PM Kisan Yojana. The government does not release the next installment without it. If you have not yet gotten your e-KYC done, then it will be very difficult for the next installment to come to your account. The previous installments did not reach the accounts of many farmers, only for this reason, because their e-KYC status was not updated.
If the money of the 20th installment does not come to your account on August 2, then you should immediately understand that your installment is stuck due to a lack of e-KYC. This is a clear indication that you have to complete this process as soon as possible. This step of the government is to prevent fraud and ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach only genuine and eligible farmers. Therefore, it is very important to give priority to e-KYC.
How to get PM Kisan e-KYC done
If you have not yet done your e-KYC in the PM Kisan Yojana, then get this work done as soon as possible. Getting e-KYC done is quite easy, and there are two main ways to do it:
Online method
You can do e-KYC from home by visiting the official website of PM Kisan from your mobile phone or computer. First of all, you have to go to the official website of PM Kisan, pmkisan.gov.in. You will get the option of ‘e-KYC’ on the homepage itself. Click on it. Now enter your Aadhaar number and click on the ‘Search’ button. After this, you have to enter your mobile number linked to Aadhaar. An OTP (One Time Password) will come to your mobile, which you have to enter in the box given on the website. After OTP verification, your e-KYC process will be completed.
By visiting the CSC center
If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, or you are facing any kind of technical problem in the online process, then you can also get your e-KYC done by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC). Go to your nearest Common Service Center. The officers present there will complete your e-KYC process through your biometric (fingerprint) authentication. For this, you have to carry your Aadhaar card and other necessary information related to the PM Kisan Yojana.
Why is e-KYC necessary
The government has many important objectives behind making e-KYC mandatory. This will curb the fraud in the scheme and people taking benefits in the wrong way. This ensures that the benefits of the scheme reach only the eligible and right farmers, which brings transparency in the entire process.
